Blow up Bands

I can’t get over how fast some bands jump the ladder now.  Take Foster The People .  They went from being a 2 person side show in 2009 to a festival favorite at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands 2011…perhaps too much hype for what their live show actually is, at this point anyways.  I’m seeing the same thing with Two Door Cinema Club right now although its still a bit early to say that they will be drawing tens of thousands at a music Fest next year.  In Ben Fosters place, NPR gives credit to The Hype Machine which brings all the best blogged about music tracks to one website.   Credit is also due to the legendary music event in Austin Texas called South by Southwest where new bands breakout every year.  My newest favorite website for finding music is Spotify…its only getting easier.
